Bradenton Beach public beaches

There are almost 2 miles of public beach to enjoy along Gulf Drive on the southern tip of Anna Maria Island. Bike paths and lots of public parking are available. Jetties are spaced along the shoreline, most in disrepair, but still intact. (Walking/fishing is not allowed on any of them.) There were lots of shells and birds on this lovely Fall day.

The boulders placed to prevent erosion...didn't.
At high tide, they make it difficult to wade in the water.

"Access Point"
This means a break in the concrete blocks along the slope down to water.

On better days,when people could get in the water,
the parking lot could be filled.
